Banstead Downs was founded in 1890 and designed by James Braid. It lies on the fast draining chalk down and sets a premium of accurate hitting. The current length is 6,195 yards but construction is already underway to extend this considerably. Members and guests also benefit from a full practice facility, chipping and short iron area plus large putting green.
