Welcome to Banstead Downs!

Banstead Downs is a progressive members club offering year round golf for players of all ages and all standards on one of the UK’s finest downland courses. We have invested over £1.4m in recent years to both extend and improve the course and to modernise the clubhouse. We give a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors and to prospective new members.
Our adult Academy provides tuition to beginners and improvers and a route to a handicap. Likewise Junior members of 8 to 18 enjoy a development program and regular competitions.
Our course, opened in 1890, was originally designed by James Braid and has recently been lengthened to 6,581 yards with a par of 71 and a SSS of 72. Its chalky base ensures fantastic drainage which provides a fair test of golf for all standards of golfers all year round. Why not come and try us out ­ we look forward to welcoming you.
